The Gordano Badge

Gordano District is situated 7 miles west of the City of Bristol, in the Scout County of Avon.

The triangle in the centre of the badge depicts the wedge shape of the Gordano valley. The colour blue, represents the Bristol channel and the green, with 3 sheaves of corn, indicates the agricultural interest.

The District is divided by the motorway which runs through the valley. The motorway is unique, being on two levels to blend into the hillside.

The rope surrounding the triangle is for the many shipping connections of the area.

Finally, the red background reminds us of our past connections with the county of Somerset.
